SITUATION 1 (Problem Statement)

Imagine, you work for a multinational company. There is a highly skilled person in your project team who is a workaholic and also very proficient in his/her work. He/she also expects the same amount of dedication and work quality from others. If not, he/she is a very harsh criticizer. The person’s expectations are not wrong. After all, the employees are supposed to be committed to their work. But this is creating a tense atmosphere in the workplace. What do you think could solve this problem? Note that you have to boost up the motivation of the team while ensuring the efforts of hardworking people don’t go in vain.

Expecting high quality of work and dedication from all employees is a fundamental part of any organization. However, intense work pressure and harsh criticism demoralize employees, adversely affecting their creativity and work output. I would advise both the parties, workaholic, proficient individuals and other team members must achieve a middle point in their agreement here. 

The workaholic individual might be very proficient in their work, but one man cannot carry a team. They must tone down their harsh criticism and work towards a more gentle approach towards the team members. He must be willing to point out and correct others' mistakes and constructively train them, give appreciation where it is due. A hardworking, dedicated individual is an asset to the team and would serve as a motivation to the other members if they build the team's skills and morale constructively, keeping in mind that everyone has a different approach towards their work.

Other team members must be willing to learn and step up their work. Instead of fearing criticism, they must be willing to improve themselves and their work constructively. They must be willing to help each other as a team, identifying their weak points and helping them out. That would lead to a general improvement of working skills in the entire team and increase productivity.

Catching up after work, unwinding, understanding each other's visions, and mindset would improve collaboration, promote harmony amongst the team, and develop a more personalized approach between both parties, promoting a healthy work environment.


SITUATION 2 (Problem Statement)

Your office wants to introduce strict working hours. You are supposed to get there by 10 in the morning. However, one of your co-workers has been arriving late and leaving early for a long time for unspecified reasons. However, the number of tasks accomplished by him isn’t getting affected. He has been demonstrating high efficiency. Do you think this fact can exempt him from following the rules? Would you accept minute violation of the norms if someone is showing high output or would you follow the norms with utmost rigor?

Foremost, the fact that a person is demonstrating high efficiency can’t exempt him from following the rules or laws of the domain. Lack of morals is what leads to the superiority complex or taking one’s job less seriously. It doesn’t mean that the person is not serious about their work but towards the decorum of the office. 

In the given situation, I’m a co-worker. Although I’m less efficient or productive than them, it would be unfair to me and all other employees who work for complete office hours if the company accepts minute violation of the norms of a person just because they are more productive. 

The best thing would be to talk directly to the concerned person and ask if he is going through some genuine problems in their non-professional life. In case there are some solid reasons, the company should see him through those difficult times. If there aren’t any genuine reasons, the person is not following the work ethics, and in that case, no matter how efficient they are, the company must take against them.

Ethics and morals should always be given priority in the workspace. Not just the efficiency but also make punctuality part of the employee performance review and compensation.

SITUATION 3 (Problem Statement)

You work for an NGO, and are responsible for dealing with volunteers. You observe two types of people who volunteer for such initiatives, the enthusiasts and the pragmatics. Enthusiasts are people who are there because they emotionally relate to the topic and are eager to bring change. Although their emotions are not consistent throughout, they give big ideas and work tirelessly. However, they are irregular and not always available. The pragmatics, on the other hand, have joined the cause because they feel it is everyone’s moral responsibility to give back to the community. They are always consistent in their efforts; they don’t believe in working tirelessly one day and then not working at all. How do you ensure efficient working of the organization and also keep the two classes of people together?

The First Type of People Who Are enthusiasts & Emotionaly Related To Topic  And Egar To Bring The Change.  It Is Good Quality But They are Irregular And Not Always Available, This Is Not Good Quality.The Second Type of People Who Are Pragmatics & Believe That It is Everyone's Responsibility To Give Back To Community & Also They Are Always Consistency In Their Efforts This Is Good Quality. But They Don't Believe In Working Tirelessly One Day So It Is Not Good Quality.


To Ensure Efficient Working Of Organization  & Also Keep Two Classes People Together I Arrange The Meeting In Organization And Talk To People.In Meeting   I  Discuss On Importance of '' Regularity,Availability ,Consistency  & Sometimes  Working Tirelessly  To Complete Perticular Task''.If Some Volunteers have Some Problem Then I Recommended them  Go to problem Solving Committee Which I Already made.If Someone Have Some Problem Then I Grant Their Leave.I Motivate My Volunteers  team To Do Perticular Task & If They Complete The Task i Give Them Some Reward.

According To Mahatma Ghandhi  ''As A Volunteer ,You Will Learn  Not Just More About The Needs Of Others But Also About Your Own Need & You Will Discover That In Helping Other ,You Help Yourself Most Of All.''
